5th Foundation Day: 4th January, ’26

In connection with the post celebration of INY’s 5th Foundation Day 2026, a State-Level Debate Competition under the banner of MIND FEST 3.0 was organized on 4th January 2026.
The topic of the debate was:
“In the opinion of the House, the politics of freebies discourages self-reliance and thereby weakens the foundation of Welfare Democracy.”
Nearly 30 participants from various parts of the state participated in the competition. The event was marked by thoughtful deliberations, intellectual depth, and meaningful engagement, reflecting the spirit of democratic discourse and critical inquiry among the youth.
The Cash Prize of ₹10,000 was generously sponsored by Shrimati Tilutoma Hazarika in loving memory of her husband, Late JCO Gopal Chandra Hazarika, EME, Retired Sub Naib Subedar. The organization expresses its sincere gratitude for her noble gesture and valued support.

5th Foundation Day: 4th January, ’26
Post – 01 #5thFoundationDay
INY Assam successfully conducted the Post Celebration of its 5th Foundation Day on 4th January 2026 at Pranab Baruah Kalakshetra, Nagaon.
The event was graced by #Padmashree Shri Drona Bhuyan, renowned artist and recipient of the Padma Shri Award (2024) for his outstanding contribution to the traditional art forms of Ojapali and Deodhani.
Other distinguished guests present on the occasion were:

A significant highlight of the celebration was the introduction of a new honor by INY Assam. From this year onward, the organization has instituted the prestigious “INY Lifelong Perseverance Award.”
The inaugural award has been conferred upon Shri Gopal Dev Kakati. Despite being visually impaired, Shri Kakati exemplifies extraordinary courage and determination. He travels daily to Borduwa, where he sings devotional songs and sustains his livelihood through voluntary offerings. His unwavering spirit, humility, and dedication to his craft truly embody the essence of lifelong perseverance.
In recognition of his inspiring journey and remarkable resilience, he was rightfully chosen as the first recipient of this esteemed award.
The event marked yet another memorable milestone in the journey of INY Assam, reinforcing its commitment towards youth empowerment, social service, and recognition of inspiring individuals in society.
